NEET UG Syllabus 2026 OUT; The Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), functioning under the National Medical Commission (NMC), has officially released the final syllabus on 23rd December 2025 for NEET UG 2026. The updated syllabus has been uploaded on the official website of NMC for the convenience of candidates and all other stakeholders.

According to the notice issued by NMC, all stakeholders are advised to refer to the updated NEET UG 2026 syllabus while preparing study material and planning academic activities for the 2026–27 academic session. This final syllabus will be applicable for students appearing in the NEET UG 2026 examination.
The commission has clarified that the revised syllabus should be treated as the official and final reference for NEET UG 2026 preparation.

NMC NEET UG 2026 Syllabus PDF
Now that the syllabus has been finalised and released, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the official detailed notification for NEET UG 2026. Going by the previous years’ trends, NEET UG is usually held on the first Sunday of May every year. For example, NEET UG 2024 was held on May 5, 2024 (Sunday), and NEET UG 2025 exam date was May 4, 2025. With this in mind, NEET UG 2026 is expected to be conducted on May 3, 2026 (Sunday) — the first Sunday of May that year. The medical entrance exam is held usually held between 2pm to 5:20 pm (usually a single shift) by NTA. The exam is usually conducted for 180 minutes (3 hours).
In 2025, the NEET UG online application process commenced on February 7, so the online application process for NEET UG 2026 is also expected to begin in the first week of February 2026.
NEET UG has been a qualifying entrance exam since 2020 for admission to the MBBS/BDS courses in AIIMS and JIPMER (although such Medical Institutions are governed under separate Statutes), as per the provisions under Section 14 (1) of the NMC Act (2019).
